Palazzo Sardagna, current home of the offices of the Rectorate of the University of Trento, is one of the masterpieces of Mannerism and early Baroque in Trentino. Dating from the 16th century, the building is built around a large central courtyard, the largest among those found in the city's historic buildings. From the exterior, walking through the entrance hall embellished with heraldic coats of arms, one enters the courtyard punctuated by a double order of loggias and long galleries.

Full Professor and teacher of Lighting Technology at the University of Naples Federico II, she is President of the Italian Lighting Association (AIDI) and member of the Governing Board of the International Commission on Illumination (CIE). She conducts research on the overall effects of lighting on humans and the environment.

Full professor of zoology and ethology at the University of Ferrara, he deals with the study of the circadian system from a physiological and behavioural point of view. His research focuses on the evolution of this system and the responses of animals to human pressures such as global warming and light pollution.

Nicoletta Carbone

Full professor of internal medicine and head of Clinical Medicine unit, University and General Hospital of Ferrara. Degree in medicine, specializations in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine, cardiology, and PhD in Biomedicine (Cordoba, Spain). Recognized scholar of chronobiology, with large international scientific production.
