CEO of AIRC Cancer Research Foundation since 2022, he holds a degree in economics from Bocconi and a master degree from Tor Vergata. With more than 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, he was CEO of GSK SpA. He has held top positions in Confindustria and Farmindustria, led corporate mergers, and chaired the Board of the University of Trento until 2024.
With a degree in Pharmacy and a specialisation in Pharmacology, Francesca Pasinelli joined Fondazione Telethon in 1997, becoming its General Director from 2009 to 2024. She developed a management model for innovative therapies in rare genetic diseases. She has received numerous awards, including the Marisa Bellisario Award, the Grande Ufficiale Order of Merit, and the Ambrogino D'Oro Award.
He holds an MSc and a PhD in electrical engineering, he was a postdoctoral associate at the prestigious AI-Lab at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he has coordinated participation in 2 of the Ministry of Economic Development's competence centers for Industry 4.0, he was 1 of the 3 Italian representatives at the G7 forum on AI and one of the authors of the Italian Strategic Agenda on AI.
He is Full Professor at Politecnico di Milano, where he also served as Rector. He currently holds top-level positions in key institutions for innovation and research and plays an active role in the industrial community and Italian social landscape.
He is currently President of the Human Technopole Foundation, the biomedical research institute located in the MIND (Milan Innovation District), and holds the Romeo and Enrica Invernizzi Foundation Chair in Innovation Management at Bocconi University, where he served as Rector from 2016 to 2022.
This brand-new building is located in Trento’s Albere district. Recently opened, it contains a 250-seat auditorium and a number of event rooms, one of which can accommodate 99 people. When the building was under construction, special attention was paid to environmental sustainability, with specifications for energy and acoustic insulation. It is also equipped with a radiant panel-operated heating and cooling system.
